4. How do I compare two rigs with the same claimed drilling depth?

Do not compare only the maximum depth. Compare the drill-capacity matrix by BQ, NQ, HQ, and PQ size; rotation torque; pull-up force; feed force; mast stroke; rig weight; hydraulic component brands; mud-pump specification; engine output; wireline system; spare-parts package; and the geology assumptions behind the depth rating.

5. What should a Myanmar buyer include in the first spare-parts order?

At minimum, include consumable filters, seals, hoses, fittings, electrical spares, chuck and clamp wear parts, winch-related parts, pressure gauges, basic repair kits, and critical items identified by the manufacturer. For remote drilling campaigns, request a site-specific recommended-spares list based on operating hours, local service availability, and expected shipping lead time.
