Good news at year’s end heralds vigorous progress and new achievements. Recently, the drilling operations for the Shanxi Coalbed Methane Project, carried out by a specialized construction team, were successfully completed. This project is not only a key initiative for ensuring regional energy security but also a vivid demonstration of the green transition of the energy structure. As the equipment supplier for the project, our company provided full support to the drilling operations with our independently developed CMD100 mobile drilling rig, delivering robust and reliable equipment that has underpinned the smooth advancement of the project.

The well design for this drilling operation calls for a total depth of 2,086 meters, under complex geological conditions and with extremely stringent technical requirements. Rising to the challenge, the construction team has fully leveraged its expertise in geological exploration and its public-service mission, steadfastly upholding its core responsibility of “prospecting for mineral resources on behalf of the nation and ensuring energy security.” Through superb professional skills and a rigorous scientific approach, the team has achieved efficient, end-to-end control over the entire drilling process—from spudding to completion. In particular, during the critical interval from 1,078 to 2,095 meters, the team not only exceeded the design target but also set a new technical benchmark with an outstanding measured horizontal section of 1,017 meters. This remarkable achievement fully demonstrates the team’s unwavering strength in “precision exploration and overcoming tough challenges” as well as its spirit of “loyalty and accountability, daring to fight and certain to win,” thereby making a significant contribution to the efficient development of China’s coalbed methane resources and to the country’s energy-security objectives.
